What is SPV?

Simplified Payment Verification, or short SPV, allows the use of the Zentrinum wallet without having to download the full blockchain. This is a huge advantage, because downloading the whole thing would take several weeks…

How does SPV work?

With SPV, it is not necessary to download and store the entire blockchain, but only the headers of the blocks that contain all the transactions relevant to the wallet. A header is the hash value of a completed block and is used to verify the transactions made. The advantages of SPV are that a lot of loading time and storage capacity can be saved.
